As the year wraps up, we wanted to share a look back at our 2024. It’s been a year of hard work, growth, and challenges. None of it would have been possible without our incredible team. We’ve built something truly special here, not just in the work we do, but in how we do it.
Thank you for being part of this journey.
Wishing you a joyful holiday season and a fantastic start to the new year.
Here’s to what’s next,
Ali
CEO, Furnace Record Pressing
As we reach the run-out groove on 2024, we’re spinning through the tracks of a year packed with music, memories, and spectacular vinyl pressings! Thanks to our incredible team, loyal customers, and amazing partners, this year has been a total chart-topper. Here are just a few of our teams’ favorite highlights:
A Year of Big Moments
-
-
- More Rad Projects — Pressing records is what we do best, and 2024 brought some unforgettable projects! Account Manager Anna’s proudest achievement was producing the new Smashing Pumpkins album Aghori Mhori Mei. Over 45,000 units were pressed across multiple versions, including the stunning Solar Flare vinyl with a bonus 7″. It was a hit for fans and for us!
Graphic Designer Dennis had the especially exciting honor of designing the laser-etched D side for System of a Down guitarist Daron Malakian’s project Scars on Broadway. He was also excited to finally see one of his favorite bands Ice Nine Kills pressed on vinyl here at Furnace.
-
- Ali Became CEO — The needle dropped on a new chapter as Ali took the helm, leading us to some serious high notes. This milestone even caught the attention of Billboard, who featured our story in their executive news roundup: Read more here.
-
- A Year of Visitors — Our majority owners Metallica stopped by (no big deal… except it totally was!). We also welcomed Silversun Pickups, who tried their hand at pressing effect vinyl. Throughout the year, we hosted filmmakers, news outlets, and community partners for curated visits, offering a behind-the-scenes peek into our groovy world.
-
- Facility Improvements — We got to work sprucing the joint up to be bigger, better, and ready to spin up even more of your favorite records. We also broke ground on another big project! Inventory Manager Aaron loved seeing our former storage annex transformed into our new Plating & Galvanics Lab (coming in 2025).
As we prepare to unleash our stampers on the world, Tom, our Quality Control overlord, oversaw improvements in our quality process to meet and exceed the expectations of even the most discerning audiophiles.

- Staff Bonding —
Believe it or not, we take an occasional break! Watching the solar eclipse like awestruck schoolkids was a standout moment for many of us, including Packaging Manager Michael. The Ice Cream Social was a favorite for Production Specialist Em, and we always look forward to our annual Holiday Party. Newcomer Nyeem, our Customer Service Assistant, quickly fit right in by joining QC’s The Bazaar game nights.

- World Tour — A whole crew of us “shipped off to Boston” to see Metallica this summer! Wendy (Executive Assistant), Dale (Plant Manager), Aaron, Tim (Account Manager), and Mark (Executive Vice President) enjoyed a weekend of rock, fireworks, camaraderie, and an unexpected road trip home.
Jennifer who heads up marketing had a blast with everyone at Record Store Day Camp in New Orleans, where we spread the vinyl gospel and celebrated the community in style.
- Last but Not Least: The Cats — Principal Cat Whisperer Connor treasured strengthening his friendship with Tibby. Slippy had a daring scrape in the wild that turned her into a purrito for a bit. And Tibby supervised mailer assembly for the Smashing Pumpkins, even gracing their Instagram—proving once again that cats rule the internet (and our office).

Looking Ahead
As we turn the record to a fresh side in 2025, we’re filled with gratitude for every artist, customer, and partner who made this year unforgettable. Here’s to more milestones, music, and memories in the year ahead. Let’s keep the good vibes spinning!
Wishing you joy and peace this holiday season,
