ABOUT RECORD STORE DAY:
Record Store Day is an annual event celebrated on the third Saturday in April. It was founded in 2007 and celebrates more than 1000 independently owned record stores in the United States and internationally with special performances, festivals, and exclusive vinyl releases. There are Record Store Day-participating stores on every continent except Antarctica. Many locations now opt to participate in Record Store Day year-round with special promotions and the Back to Black Friday event which gives record stores exclusive releases as part of the attempt to redirect the focus of the biggest shopping day of the year to the desirable: special things to be found at local stores.
